Came here coming back from a regatta. We found this place on maps, and came in. The owner of was great, came out and talked to us. He is a man who is not only friendly, but someone who has made fulfilled his dream of making a great restaurant. The food, staff, and atmosphere were fantastic. This is better than the barbecue at twelve bones in Asheville, and rivals anything in the south. 10/10 will be coming back.

Absolutely DELICIOUS southern cooking. Meats were very tender and their original sauce was out of this world. Every side dish was equally outstanding. The sweet potato crunch was especially delicious. Many of the very tasty sides have no meat in them (vegetarian) but you wouldn’t know it. Better sides than I’ve ever gotten at home or in a restaurant.It’s family owned and operated and the family is as gracious and congenial as they come. Wonderful food prepared and served by wonderful people. Fed my belly and my soul at this restaurant.

We are on a RV trip from California. We stopped for lunch. Wow just wow. I ordered the Loaded Barrel with brisket and original sauce. It will be dinner too. My husband ordered ribs and brisket with green beans and spicy pinto beans. Both meals are delicious. Moist and tasty corn bread. We had the pleasure to visit with the cook and his family. They are delightful. Thank you for a better than expected lunch. Try the sweet potato crunch, dig down to the bottom. It’s like dessert.
